Staff Honored at ARC

Pyramid won big at the 2019 Arc of Florida Convention, with not one, but two, Pyramid staff receiving the highest of accolades  at the event, held last week in Daytona Beach!  Kudos go out to Dr. Carol Culton, former Pyramid Pensacola performing arts coordinator and current performance consultant, and Sherry Sineath, who provides in-home supports for Pyramid-Studios Tallahassee student Carmen Ramos. The ladies were honored at an awards luncheon held during the convention.

Dr. Culton received the award for Professional of the Year. This award is given "to honor a professional working in a state or local program who has gone “the extra mile” in serving the needs of people with developmental disabilities in Florida. An individual considered for this award must have striven to help individuals reach their highest degrees of independence, demonstrated a high degree of competence in his/her chosen field and influenced others by a positive attitude and performance of duties." 

Ms. Sineath was recognized with the Direct Service Staff Award, which is given "recognize a local ARC direct service staff that has exhibited outstanding qualities in job performance, supporting the people they work with to be self sufficient in their community, and in demonstrating the ARC spirit."
