It is with heavy hearts that we share with you the news that our beloved friend and Pyramid Co-Founder, Bill Fuller passed away on June 2, 2022. While Bill spent many months fiercely battling the cancer that would ultimately end his time on this earth, he also ensured that he lived his best life, surrounding himself with laughter and those he loved. In true Bill Fuller fashion, he showed grit and grace, sharing stories and memories to ease the hearts and minds of those he knew he would leave behind.

While his final gift to those who knew and loved him was to prepare us for the eventuality of his passing, Bill’s legacy is greater than some of you can even imagine. He, along with Marilyn Yon, his wife and Pyramid’s CEO and their partner, Pyramid CFO Mark Kemp, gave us the mission of believing in the abilities of those we serve and of believing in the art of the possible.
In his role as the Arts Director, it was his belief that all people deserved an opportunity to experience and participate in visual and performing arts. Bill was the biggest supporter of Pyramid’s students, always in awe of the talents and abilities of the individuals who attend Pyramid. However, it was Bill’s interactions with them on a personal level, as the people they are, that was the true indicator of how big his heart really was.

Bill also wore the Director of HR hat and in that role, he was a champion for all of us who have worked for Pyramid over the years. Although much was expected, he always believed that we were capable of doing whatever he asked, even when we were not so sure ourselves. Bill made us believe in our own abilities, our own talents and skills, and he was seldom wrong. He gave us leeway when we needed it, guidance when it was necessary and, drawing from his own experiences, a good "talking to" when it was required. Bill knew that we are the catalyst for carrying out Pyramid’s mission, that we are the ones to bring the vision…his dream…to reality. And he respected that.

So, as we bid the saddest of goodbyes to our Co-Founder, advocate, mentor and friend Bill Fuller, we ask that you keep Marilyn, their children and their family in your thoughts. We also ask that you take a page from Bill’s book and remember to live your lives to the fullest, do what you love, and always -ALWAYS- believe in the art of the possible.

For those of you who have inquired about plans going forward, a celebration of Bill Fuller’s life will be held on Saturday, July 30 at The Moon, 1105 E. Lafayette Street in Tallahassee. The celebration will start at 3 pm EST, with the doors to The Moon opening at 2:30, remembrances beginning at 3 pm and a reception following.  The family asks that those attending wear colorful clothing in celebration.

In lieu of flowers, Bill requested that donations be made to Pyramid, Inc., 311 N. Spring Street, Pensacola, FL 32501. You can also donate by clicking here.
