On October 30, students and staff at Pyramid Studios-Tallahassee were treated to a day of inspiration and magic when they hosted world-renowned illusionist and speaker Kevin Spencer!

Mr. Spencer connected with each person he met while touring the program, commenting on artwork and simply talking with students and staff. His visit included an inclusive performance workshop where he showed students and staff, through magic, the power of laughter and learning. With his infectious energy and gentle techniques, Mr. Spencer made sure everyone was engaged and had a good time.

"The show was AWESOME and Kevin is a really nice person!," said Pyramid Director Amy Harvey.

Mr. Spencer's visit was courtesy of Opening Nights of Florida State University's INCLASS program. During his week-long residency in Tallahassee, which culminated in a sensory friendly performance FSU's Opperman Music Hall last night, Mr. Spencer worked with different community organizations, including Pyramid. During his visits, he offered new tactics and specialized training unique to each organizations' needs and goals so they can best serve people with autism and disabilities.

A big shout out and many, many thanks to Kevin Spencer for bringing Pyramid Studios students and staff a day filled with learning, laughter and MAGIC! We truly enjoyed your visit.

We also thank Opening Nights at FSU's Education and Engagement Manager Calla MacNamara for facilitating Mr. Spencer's visit to Pyramid and long time friend of Pyramid (and Mr. Spencer) Del Suggs, who suggested our program to the wonderfully talented illusionist.
